Enable/Disable Macros

There are a couple files that I open that give the warning about macros
attached and whether I want to enable or disable them. I have said "Enable"
to find there are NO macros attached.
I've opened the VBA editor and still none anywhere.
How can this be? What is attached so I can disable them, turn them off or
remove them permanently?

Hi Deborah,

Did you also check for empty modules? All it takes is an empty module
and the prompt will be invoked.

hi
navigate the the office startup folder
C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\OFFICE11\STARTUP
and make sure it is totally empty
