Enable Macro Security Window not being displayed

ExcelDevel99

One of my Excel 2002 workbooks which contains macros, does not always show the "Enable Macros" window when it is opened and so the macro security level gets moved up from the default of Medium to High, and the macros will not run

This is an intermittent and so non-reproducible problem - so far, but as the workbook is critical to the business I am getting this problem from high up and so need some help in finding what may be happening

I have searched this newsgroup and some other Excel forums I have discovered but so far I haven't found any reports of this problem I have, so I am not too hopeful, but do need to ask the experts

Hi,
Unless someone has written a macro using Windows calls,
or there is another program (virus?) "loose" on your
network,
or the system guys are pushing out some kind of forced
security settings (I'm not even sure this is possible),
I doubt if the Excel file is doing it.

You might try copying it to a fresh file and see what
happens, but I'd look for some kind of System-wide
culprit. Does this happen just to your PC? or others
in the company? Can you associate the change to any
thing else unusual? any changes in email or internet
settings? Rebooting/resetting of any network stuff
by the systems guys?

sorry I'm not much help....best of luck.
