Enable Outlook 2000 to access an Exchange Mail server

How do I add a mail account to Outlook 2000 to access an Exchange email
server ?

Do I need to upgrade to Outlook 2002 or 2003 or can I purchase an add-in for
my
Outlook 2000 ?

When I try to add a email account for Exchang the only 2 options I get are
POP3
and IMAP
