Enable "system restore" for data partition?

What value is there in enabling XP's System Restore for a partition
where I keep only data?

I keep my email and newgroup files there. Also I keep any Word or
Excel documents which I create.

Is there any advantage in having System Restore for that sort of
partition?

BTW does it make any difference if that partition is FAT32 or NTFS?

None as SR doesn't monitor document type files. No it doesn't make a difference.
