End of a workbook

Version: Excel 2003

There might not be a way but I thought I would ask...

Someone created a beautiful spreadsheet for me BUT when adding borders,
added them to the whole column, not only the cells with data in them so I
want to remove them.

When I hit ctrl+end, it doesn't bring to the very last row - is this
possible? If so, how do I do it?

Thanks!

If I understand your question, the originator highlighted a column and
formatted it to show a border (a line along the edge of the cell). By
highlighting the entire column they caused every cell in that column
to show a border; when you press CTRL-END it brings you to the lowest
rightmost cell in which data was entered- not to the lowest rightmost
formatted cell.

So if you want to remove the border, you just need to highlight the
range of cells involved, and adjust the formatting.

Thanks - the border is never ending and I want to know how to get to the very
last row of the very last column in Excel - besides I have always been
curious how to get to the last roow. I have gone through to the last column
of a worksheet but never the last row.

From Help

Select the last cell of a worksheet or list
Show All
Hide All
You can quickly go to the last cell of a worksheet (worksheet: The
primary document that you use in Excel to store and work with data. Also
called a spreadsheet. A worksheet consists of cells that are organized
into columns and rows; a worksheet is always stored in a workbook.) or
Excel list (list: A series of rows that contains related data or a
series of rows that you designate to function as a datasheet by using
the Create List command.) that contains data or formatting.

On the Edit menu, click Go To.
Click Special.
Select Last cell.

You can press the F5 key, "go to", and enter IV65536 (the address of
the lowest rightmost cell). Or you could press CTRL-END, the press the
END key and then the right arrow button (in succession, not
simultaneously); then press END and the down arrow button.
