Endnote version 7 software and microsoft word (Ms office 2003)

I have both version 7 of Endnote and MS Word 2003 installed on my computer
but I cannot make them communicate.

I know that it should be possible to "cite while you write" by going to
Tools>Endnote in Word but I do not appear to have this option
