Energy-Saving colors

in Outlook 2003, I would like to make the default colors (at least for
a mail message), have a black background, and a white foreground (I
wish the Royale Noir theme could do something like this). How do I do
that, without making the appearance of the emails to other people look
different?

I am aware of the Stationery feature in Outlook, but the formatting
that that produces gets sent along with the message, defeating the
purpose.

Is what I want possible? Thanks in advance.

Outlook doesn't control this but Windows. The "High Contrast Black" might be
the color scheme for you.

You do realize that for TFT/LCD monitors it doesn't matter if a pixel is
black or not when it comes to power consumption? It will matter for old CRT
monitors though but these usually consume a lot more than TFT monitors so I
assume you've ditched those already.

I didn't realize that a black pixel would use as much energy as a
white one on an LCD/TFT. Thanks.

The benefit to the eyes still remains, however. I'll try out that
scheme and let you know what I think. THanks.
