engineering notation in excell

How do you get excell to to show values in engineering notation IE milli
micro nano pico and Kilo Mega Giga

This is a great example of custom formats:

Let's say you have values that are current in milli-amps. Select a cell
and pull-down:

Format > cells... > Number > custom and in place of General, enter:
General" milli-amp"
