english(UK) set language, but spellchecks correct to english(US)?

good people, i set my language to english UK and the spell check only seems
to correct to english US.
who knows the secret to solve my spelling?

Hi, ed. Open the document where this problem occurs. Press Ctrl+A to select
all of the text. Click on Tools | Language | Set Language | Mark selected
text as: English UK | uncheck the "Detect language automatically" box |
Default | OK. Press F7 to rerun spellcheck.
