Ensuring Sameness of Engineering Constants in Word

I'm preparing a product specification that makes reference to the same data
several times, i.e. it might say in several places that the product must
operate between 10-16 volts.

Is there any way to prepare a macro or some similar construct in Word so
that every appearance of "16" (for example) is actually a macro or some sort
of a constant and when I change it one place it gets changed every place?

Look up DocVariable in your help or reference.

Worked great. There was a little complexity in figuring out I had to use
VBA methods to set the document variables, but after an hour or two of web
searching, works great.

Thanks for getting me pointed in the right direction.
