Ent. Arch 2003 UDT and Constraint Problems

2003 Enterprise Arch. version with Sql Server 2000.

I can add constraints to the model, and they generate in the database
ok. But the comparison during the update never recognizes that the
contraints are already in the database, and I can add new constraints
to the database and Visio appears unaware that they exist when I run
an update to detect them.

And adding a UDT to the model generates ok in the database, but the
Update always complains that the datatype of the UDT in the database
has changed. Trying to refresh the model or update the database does
not resolve it.

Ideas?
