Enter parameter value Query1. ...

When running a SELECT query, up pops an "Enter Parameter Value" window which
identifies a parameter named Query1.fldname, where fldname is the name of the
output table.

Is there a question here?

What do you mean by "output table"?

If Access cannot resolve an object name in a select statement using columns
of tables mentioned in the From clause, or from objects in forms that are
currently open, it assumes it is a parameter and prompts the user for its
value. So, Query1.fldname has to be supplied by a table or query in the FROM
clause. is it?

In my case it was a sort field left lying around in the background. Setting a new sort field fixed it.

Good to know. It would have been more helpful to the OP three years ago, but
I guess we can't have it all ... ;-)
