Enter Time in cells

Is there any way to enter time in cells without having to type a colon
Say for instance I wanted to enter 19:00 PM I want to be able to enter
1900 and have it change to 19:00 PM
The way I have to do it now is type 19 Colon 00
I know I could use a macro but the time won't always be 19:00
it may be 22:00 PM or 7:00 AM ect.

Formating the cells hh:mm gives me 12:00 AM when I type 1900

Can this be done?
