Hello,

What is the use of the "Enter User Credentials" check box in the login
dialog of Project Pro 2007 ?
Can we log on without any credential ???

Hi Nico,
Thanks for that advice. But I don't really understand where are created
these Forms Authentications. Do they imply the use of InfoPath ?

Hi Robert,
Forms Authentication replaces the Project Server Authentication in PS2003
for non Windows Authenticated accounts. Forms Auth is built into WSS3.0 and
is now used by PS2007. Worth having a look at the WSS articles for more
information. It has nothing to do with Infopath.

Thanks again Ben,

I never created any Forms Authentication (the main reason is because I don't
know where and how to create them) but this "Enter User Credentials"
checkbox grants me almost the same access to Project Server 2007:
- Checked : I have access to both "Retrieve the list of all projects from
Project Server" and "Enterprise Projects" (in the local cache ?)
- Unchecked : I have access only to "Retrieve the list of all projects from
Project Server"
What is the philosophy of that feature ?

Check that you have enabled to automatically detect the connection state in
the project server accounts section of Pro.

For other general functionality, please read the product guides etc.
