Entering a Year into a field

Hi

I have a field in a table, in which I want to be able to enter a Year,
rather than a full date. I have set the format to Date/Time, and entered an
input mask as 0000;1;# but when I try and enter a Year, such as 1980, it
throws an error, saying that the "Value you entered isnt valid for this
field."

Can anyone help?

You'll have to store it as an Integer, rather than Date/Time.
