Entering time in Project Server

B

Brian B.

I have my server up and running, and a beta project
published. What I need to do is, allow users to log onto
web access, and modify their time worked on each task. Is
there a way to accomplish this? In essence, I am looking
for a way to "automate" timesheets, allowing each resource
to update their time worked on a particular task.

Any help would eb greatly appreciated,
Brian

In your question, you are actually describing the default functionality of
Project Web Access. Each team member can log into PWA and navigate to the
Tasks page, where they will see their timesheet. They can enter their
"actuals" on a task by task basis and submit the task updates to their
project manager. From there, the project manager can accept or reject each
task update. If the task update is accepted, the actuals will be tranferred
into the Microsoft Project 2002 project plan. If they task update is
rejected, the team member will be notified via e-mail. Hope this helps.
