entering work hours in the web access interface

I am a IT project manager, I enter a project and publish
it to our project server. The developers that have
assigned tasks, enter their work hours on a task via the
project web access interface. The problem is that many
times it takes less hours to complete a task than what was
estimated. The developer is unable to mark the task
complete via the web access and they have to remember to e-
mail me (which many times they don't)to mark the task
complete via the thick client. Any ideas?

The user simply needs to set the remaining work value to zero on the
left-hand side of the timesheet. When you accept the updated, the task will
be marked 100% complete if that's the only person assigned to the task.

Your resources should have a field on their timesheet view for
Remaining Work. When a task is complete, they just have to enter zero
in this field and submit the updates as usual. I believe this is one
of the default fields for the Timesheet view, so they may just have to
scroll around to find it, then move it to where they want so they see
it all the time.

I'm not sure if I can answer your question, but I believe
that if you enter zero in the remaining work field and
100% in the % work complete field you will get the results
you want.
