Enterprise 2007 install failed

Receiving the following message during install:
"Setup cannot find Enterpriser.WW\EnterrWW.cab. Browse to a valid
installation source, and then click enter"
I tried this from the CD as well as copying to my HD and running setup.
Always the same error. The directory and the cab file are there, I can open
and veiw the contents.
I purchase the software from Microsoft on-lne so I know it's authentic.
Please advise.

Sorry Milly, I should have specifed more clearly. I purchased though the
Home Use Program that my employer subscribes to. I purchased on-line via the
following link:

Not a problem - however many post here who have "acquired" Office Enterprise through non-standard means so I am careful whom I try to help. No pay, no help.

Was this a CD purchased or a download purchased and burned to CD?

Regardless if the product is available or not in the MS product line
the Enterprise edition exist but was not made for the retail market,
IIRC.
I had seen somebody( a Software Developer) who had a coply of the
Office 2007 Enterprise Blue Edition which does not need any activation
and it was installed on his PC with no glitches at all.

Understand your concern. I purchased through the HUP and received a CD in
the mail, packaged in a standard DVD case with all the proper Microsoft
markings. The Microsoft authenticity label intact and the software Key on
the back of the case. The CD has the fancy holographic design as well so I'm
sure it's legitimate.

Here's the unfortunate part: empoyees who are eligible for this program can
only purchase one (1) copy of the software and purchases are tracked by
Microsoft using the employee's email address (understandable for the price)
but purchasers do not get any technical support (due to the cost break) and a
no return/refund policy. This means if you get a defective product you're
out of luck unless you want to pay the $50 per phone call to Microsoft
support.

I'd be happy to send this back for a new one if I could. I just want a
usable product I paid for.

Hi Todd,

There may not be a refund/return policy equal to the retail product guarantees, but a defective product is replaceable. You may
want to check with your company IT folks to find out the procedure, as the Home Use Program Administration and support are tasked to
the company that has the volume license agreement.

Thank you all for your help. The nice folks at the HUP Microsoft Customer
Support have agreed to send me a replacement.

I was able to get around the error condition by merely coping the fil
from the installation CD to a directory on my local hard drive and the
pointing the installation program there.

This trick did not work for me. However, when I pointed the parent
directory of the missing file, all went fine.
