Enterprise Flag field issue

I have used custom flag fields for in 2003 server but struggle in 2007. I
can create the new field but it gets created in a blank state which is
neither yes or no. I'm trying to create a new enterprise resource flag field
and default it to No. I tried using a formula (=No) but that doesn't work.
I tried to bulk edit the 1350+ resources and while everything appears to work
(no errors or incompleted jobs in the queue) the field stays blank and all
resources remain checked-out to me and I have to force check-in all. The new
flag field remains blank.

Thanks! That will work for resources. I also need to add a few new
enterprise project flag fields and I don't know of a way to mass edit the
existing projects. Any method you can recommend other than writing to the
SQL database?

Have you tried the bulk edit in smaller batches?

Gary,

How do I bulk edit projects? If I select multiple projects in PWA Project
Center->Edit Project Properties it only lets me edit the first one and can't
go to the next one selected.
