Enterprise Global corruption

Hello,
After the SP2 and before the install of August 2009 CU, several people met
some issues with the corruption of the Enterprise Global.
What was the process used to recover any Enterprise Global without any
previous backup?

Gary,
Sorry for my delay. My question was a generic one, without any specific
options.
If it happens that the Enterprise Global is corrupted, can we create a new
one as we can create a new Global.mpt by deleting or renaming the previous
one? (Of course, we lost all the customizations)
