Enterprise Global vs Global.mpt

Does anyone have any idea about how the Tools -> Options Schedule Tab and
Calculation Tab interact between Enterprise Global and Global.mpt. Does
Global.mpt setting supersede Ent Global?

What would happen if I were to set Schedule to Fixed Work on local and Fixed
Duration on Ent global.

Any suggestions or references would be helpful.

The Enterprise Global file serves two purposes:

1. It is your organization's "library" of custom enterprise objects such as
Fields, Views, Tables, Filters, Groups, etc.

2. It allows your organization to set a standard currency for costing
project work.

The other settings you mention have absolutely no impact on individual users
and should not be set in the Enterprise Global. Instead, those options
should be set on each user's PC and should be set in all enterprise project
templates as well. Hope this helps.

Dale,

Thanks for the clarification. It therefore makes sense to apply
Schedule/Interface/General/etc settings on Client pice before connecting to
Project Server.
