Enterprise & Project Reporting: Resource Utilization

Hi.
Similar to the issue related to deleting an Enterprise
Project (Valerie, 11/18 10:26AM); the software manual and
my Microsoft-published book, PROJECT 2002 INSIDE OUT
appear to have almost no specifics on how to utilize
Project 2k2 Server Portfolio Analyzer. Is there anyplace
I can find this information online?
More specifically, I would like to build reports around
the following parameters: Enterprise Resources'
utilization (both individual resources and specified
Resource Groups) BY projects or tasks within projects BY
time period. As you may know, the resource reports that
available within a the MSProj 2k2 client software have not
changed since MSProj 98 and are very limited.

Once your OLAP cube is built, you go to the Admin section
of PWA and to Manage Views and saet up a Portfolio
Analyzer view there. You will need to have the Office XP
Web Components installed on your machine. Basically it
is just like working with a pivot table in Excdel where
you choose your fields and the relationships you want.

Have you (or anyone) ever been able to report resource
allocation by tasks within a project--as opposed to
allocation among projects?

If you want to report resource allocation by tasks within a single project,
and want to do it in Microsoft Project, you can do it by creating a special
Task Usage view which uses a special Grouping feature. See the following
