Enterprise Resource Pool and SP1

I recently installed SP1 for Project Professional 2002 on my laptop now whenever I open a resource in the ERP I get the following error if I close the pool with without saving the changes. Even if I simply look at a resource with making any change at all it prompts me to save changes and when I say no i get the error
"Project Server was unable to process the request
An invalid node name parameter was specified.
If I actually make a change and try to save it I get an error box stating that one of the fields on the resources is incorrect, it always shows the Windows user name field and the Resource Name field. No matter how you change or update these fields the box will not clear out, you have to cancel the save and which point you get the first error (the error above) and then the resource is checked out. You must then got to PWA and check the resource back in. I can open and make changes to any resource from my other machine which has not been updated to Project Professional SP1. Any help on thise would appreciated. I haven't been able to find one word on Microsofts support site for this error

Well I've uninstalled PP and reinstalled and only run those hotfixes that I need. I'll keep waiting to see what happens as the SP matures. We may be upgrading to Project 2003 so I hope that will resolve many of these issues. I'd say that I'm happy to see that I'm not the only one with the problem however I wouldn't want to rejoice because another admin is going through the sames pains we are.

FOUND IT!

What we did was
1. Uninstall Project 2002 Server
2. Update Windows Script Host - Restart
3. Re-install MDAC 2.8 - Restart
4. Re-Install XML 4.0 - restart
5. Reinstall/setup Project 2002 server using the attach to existing db
6. restart

After analysis of servers that were and servers that were not
experiencing the issue, we determined that the Windows File Protection
scheme was preventing many many files from being installed but the
install did not tell us!!!!!

So we installed then restarted each item.

All is well now.
