Enterprise Resource Pool Error

Keith

We are using Project Server 2003. We have a user getting the following
message whenever opening a project:
"There was an error opening the enterprise resource pool.
You may not have have permission to access the selected resource(s). Would
you like to retry?"

As best I can tell, this user is set up like everyone else. Any idea as to
what is causing this or how to fix?

Thanks,
Keith

Are all of your project managers members of only the Project Managers
security Group? If not, remove them from all other Groups and let us know
if this solves the problem.

Thanks for the ideas Dale. I changed this individual's setup to only
Administrator group and all permissions were set using the Admin template,
yet the problem is still occurring.

Wait a minute. Why didn't you just add this user to the Administrators
group? You aren't setting permissions on a user by user basis, instead of
adding them to Groups, are you? If you are, all bets are off, since every
time you set permissions for an individual basis, each one represents an
EXCEPTION to the Project Server 2007 security model. The preferred method
of handling security is to add users to Groups, and then the users inherit
the permissions from the Groups to which they belong, and the Categories
included in the Groups.

Perhaps you need to tell us how you are handling permissions before we can
proceed further. And perhaps you should also know what happens if you clear
the individual permissions for this user and then add the user to the
Administrators group. Let us know.
