Enterprise Resource Pool view

Dale,

Can I modify this view to get a weekly hours total, or do you know of
another approach?
Is there any advantage in marking this as an Admin project?

Thanks in advance,

==================================================
An approach I use is to create a special administrative project that
contains no tasks and only resources. To do this, open a blank project and
then c;ick Tools - Build Team from Enterprise. Copy all of the resources
from the Enterprise Resource Pool into this project and click OK. Save the
project and then apply the Resource Usage view. You will see the project
assignments for every resource in the pool. To view specific tasks in any
project, simply open the desired project while you have this special
administrative project open, and then return to the Resource Usage view in
the administrative project. Just a thought. Hope this helps.

To clarify, I do not save the project using the built-in administrative
project setting. Instead, I create the project for administrative purposes,
and specifically, for viewing resource using across the entire portfolio of
projects.

To clarify what I said in my previous post, I do not save the project using
the built-in administrative project setting in Project Server. When I said
"administrative" in my original post, I meant that I use a regular project
for administrative purposes, and specifically, to view resource usage across
all projects in the portfolio. To view the weekly hours total, simply zoom
the timescale to Months Over Weeks while in the Resource Usage view. Hope
this helps.

Thanks for the clarification.

I like the view, but need a detail column with rolled up total hours by
employee - similar to the "Work" column, but for the week. Possible?

Again, thanks in advance...

The timephased grid on the right side of the view shows you the total work
hours for each resource for each weekly time period. Why doesn't this work
for you?

Yes, Details shows the hours for each day, but not a column for a weekly
subtotal. The "Work" column shows cumulative total task time. Mayhaps my
view isn't cooperating, but I can't view the formula to see if it is
editable, or how to copy and edit the formula in an inserted column.

I would like to insert a column with a formula that allows me to EITHER a)
show the total hours for each row based on the 7 days in the detail view
(calculating a starting date, or prompting me for the start date) OR b)
prompts me for the start and end date of the week / time period I'd like
totals for.

This will be used to (re)enforce the concept of a 40 hour workweek, or at
least the appearance thereof.

Thanks for your patience,
