Enterprise Resource Pool

I am using Project Professional/Server 2003. I created a resource pool in
Professional and placed on server. Users are assigned tasks. I have noticed
in view Table: Cost, there are no cost values. How do I correct this? I
posted to the general Professional group and had advice to come here instead.

Open the Enterprise Resource pool, and assign costs to the resource. This
way the costs are built up for the project, and showing the cost column in
Pro should give you a view of the costs for each task. Republish the project.

I have their standard rate already in, shouldn't cost be calculated based
upon no. hours of work assigned?

The values I put in, yes, the other values I do not see as far as overtime
rate cost per task, etc..
