I have an Enterprise version of Office 2007 pro - bought through work
Can this be installed on multiple PC's ?
The reason being that I plan to upgrade my aging PC shortly and need to
reinstall Office

If you uninstall it from one comouter and install it on another, you'll be
fine. You may have to use the telephone activation method and explain the
situation to a human.

The At Home use program provides for a single PC installation. If you get a new machine, you need to talk to your work Admin to get a second license.

This is surely a con
All that I want to do is continue to make use of my property - that I
purchased in good faith
I wish now that I hadn't bothered with MS and had used Open Office

And you can easily use Open Office. http://www.openoffice.org.

However, when you choose to use your employer's offer, your employer's rules apply, If you don't want to play by those rules, then choose another option. There are many.

You did NOT purchase MS Office, you purchased a license to USE it which
is a *VERY* different thing and, like all licenses, it's subject to the
restrictions the licenser imposes which are the same restrictions you
agreed to when you installed the product.

A con? No, trying to violate the terms you agreed to is the con.

I sympathize with your problem but, if you need Office for your work I
imagine your employer may get you a new license for your computer.

I believe he's refering to my comment that he may have to use the telephone
activation on the second system. Please note I said *may* not *will*. And
even if you do, you could get a friend to help you. I can't imagine that
your friends would decline a simple request for help with this.
