Enterprise Text Fields

I'm trying to set up an Enterprise Text field that will
allow me to enter a value list, but also enable users to
enter an item not on the list. Under Data Entry Options,
I can't uncheck the radio button that say's to Restrict
entry to items in the list. Am I missing something?

Because enterprise Text fields are created in the Enterprise Global file,
only the Project Server administrator can edit them. That is why the
checkbox is grayed out. Therefore, in an enterprise Text field, you cannot
create a value list which users can append as they wish. Sorry, but that's
the way enterprise features work.
