I downloaded the trial version of enterprise 2007 with key from MS. Halfway
thru the install, I receive the message "Setup cannot find
Enterprise.WW\EnterpriseWW.msi. Browse to a valid installation source, and
then click OK". I have full admin rights and am testing this product for
business purchase. I can't buy if I can't install and evaluate. I am
installing to win xp sp2

I posted 10 days ago and no reply. This is a very real problem and the
courtesy of a reply will be appreciated, even if it is only commiseration.

Can you tell us from where did you download the Office 2007 ENTERPRISE version from before we can give you an answer.

Please read the first line of my original post dated 9/19/08. It says:

"I downloaded the trial version of enterprise 2007 with key from MS."

I don't know how to be any clearer than that. I hope you are aware that
Microsoft offers enterprise for a 60 day trial download with activation key.
After the trial, I have the option to make it permanent by purchasing a
permanent key. Therefore, it is a legitimate activity for which there is no
microsoft support, because they do not support the trial versions. If I can't
even install the product to test, I certainly will not risk purchasing, only
to find that it can't be used and I need a refund. This is the only venue for
help I can find, even though this problem has been documented on Google. By
the way, I have tried copying the file to a desktop folder--didn't help.
I have tried installing a single program rather than the entire
suite--didn't work, same error. Thanks for any help.

That Trial download was dated 12\14\06. It is not valid now.

Now you know why I asked and now you know the reason why it will not install

Also it states the following

This Microsoft Office Enterprise 2007 software evaluation program is appropriate for Developers and IT Professionals. In order to take advantage of this Microsoft Office Enterprise 2007 evaluation program, you will need to first register to obtain a trial product key.

To obtain a product key visit the following sites:
a.. Developers
b.. IT Professionals

To Peter Foldes:
I downloaded the trial version of office 2007 enterprise within the past few
weeks, and just received an "no reply" e-mail text from microsoft
{[email protected]}
asking me about the experience and reminding me that I have the option to
purchase the final version. This is not something that would happen from an
outdated link. In fact, if the link was outdated, how would I be able to not
only download the product file but also a working 60 day activation key? When
I input the activation key, it accepts it as "succeeded", the problem being
incomplete installation. The link has not expired, but started in 2006, is
still active, but carries a 60 day limit until full activation is required.
Your idea that the trial concept started 12/06 and expired 60 days later is
ludicrous. Please direct your energy to helping those with legitimate
requests as much as you police the net and levy false accusations.

Addendum:
By the way, I forgot to mention that I filled out all the appropriate
registration materials required by MS to qualify for the IT professional
download, since I am the designated IT person by default in my workplace.
This does not qualify me, unfortunately, for free phone support, since it is
a trial version.
