Entoruages takes over system resoruces, slows down machine

Alas, it is still chugging along. I would like to think of it as peaks
of extreme busy... then nothing. It is mostly internal now, so that it
takes it's own resources. I was hoping there was some way to nice or
renice the app to get it to use less resources, but that won't work,
Argh.

I think i need to start from square one. It is still very slow.

Is there a resource you could point me to that details a step-by-step
approach or "try this frist" apraoch to speeding up Entourage?

Nope. A few tips at most:
- don't use projects with contacts that have zillions of e-mails
- make sure the Microsoft User Data folder is in the Exclude list for
Spotlight (that's not where indexable Entourage e-mails reside anyway).
- if you can, avoid using a huge Exchange account.

I might try to go back to IMAP, but i do not think it will be allowed.
