Entourage 2004 and multipart/mixed bug

T

Entourage 11.1 (and 11.2) has a problem showing following message. It
only shows later attachment but not the first text part.

If I reply/forward this message Entourage shows the text. (I have tried
turning off the complex HTML setting and it did not help here. Which is
natural as the text part do not contain HTML)

So it seems that Entourage has a bug in its multipart logic.

You have run into our "special" calendar support. :/ Entourage makes the
dubious assumption that it's an invitation and uses the description from the
VCALENDAR data instead of the contents of your mail (in the case of invites,
its a duplication anyway, with the body of the mail put into the description
field of the calendar attachment). Other multipart/whatever contents work
fine (or at least better).

I think this logic gets triggered no matter where in the hierarchy of
multiparts the calendar object lives.
