Entourage 2004 cannot logon to our Exchange 2007 server

Krabke

We have an iMac Intel computer with OS X 10.5.6.
With Mail (POP and SMTP) we can send and receive e-mails, using the
mailserver.

If we try to logon onto the same Mailserver with Entourage, using the
Exchange account we cannot, alltough the address list does work via the LDAP
server.
The returned error is:
The server for account "xxxx" returned the error "Logon failure: unknown
user name or bad password." Your username/password or security settings may
be incorrect.

We found some solutions on internet but none of them helps.

Any suggestions or known bugs?

The support company for our server (Exchange 2007) cannot help us, they seem
to be scared of our MAC ;-)

Are you sure you have the domain and the Exchange server set correctly? Also
try checking This DAV service requires a secure connection (SSL).

Your support company should at least be able to tell you the correct
settings for these fields. They're not exactly Mac-specific!

Hi Ed!
After half a day trying, searching, reconfiguring and so on, I managed to
have access with our old Entourage.
Format has to be like this= (and I had to find out myself, the support
company hasnt been of any help, they dislike mac it seems)

Account ID= my accountname (which is the same as for the POP account here)
Exchange server= servername.domain.local/exchange/mailaddress
And the server requires SSL, allthough the support company said, that wasnt
the case.

For the public folders, it is= servername.domainname.local/public/

And the LDAP-server has the same name as the server=
servername.domainname.local

Now Entourage runs as I wanted it. I only dont get the common company
agenda, on my screen he remains empty.

Perhaps this will help other people too?
