I have seen the same thing and sure would like to know the name of
Application LCID: 1033

Anybody know the real name? Can it be trashed? It has been causing
problems with Entourage for some time.

Anybody seen the crash with the recent update to OSX 10.5.8 and
Entourage 12.2.0 with installed update 12.2.1?

J

Jim Haist

I have been experiencing this crashing issue for about the past month.
Believe there have been two Office Updates, and at least the OSX 10.5.8
update in that time period. Neither seems to affect the problem. It was
there before, and remains.

Seems I tend to crash (at least most frequently) when deleting emails.

We have trashed prefs and rebuilt databases to no avail. Have reinstalled
Office 08 from scratch.

Help!

Mine fails on launch and sending an OS X crash report to Apple is a
waste of time. Get this feedback on Entourage 12.2.1 and OS X 10.5.8
and have not idea what it means or how to take corrective action

Like you and others I could use some help. I don't know if the problem
is with Entourage or something in my setup

Maybe someone will be able to respond

WebCore involved in crashes

WebCore is part of WebKit which is the Safari engine available for use in
Mac OS X applications. Entourage uses it to render HTML messages. Microsoft
& Apple are investigating the WebKit-related crashing.

I'm not sure if there is a separate installer for Java or if the combo will
refresh this.

The Apple combo updater refreshes old files so I suggest downloading the
combo rather than use Software Updater to download the incremental updater.
Combo updaters will install on the same version as they're applying--no need
to roll back or do a clean install.

The appended posting shows my frustration with Entourage 2008
12.2.1 crashing on launch and sending feedback to Microsoft and
Apple.

I may ( hope ) the problem is now fixed. The 'FIX' was to run
the MacOSXUpdCombo10.5.8.dmg again! Since re-installing the
OS X 10.5.8 I have not had Entourage crash on start.

Tip of the Day: If Entourage 2008 is crashing on launch, quit
everything and run the Apple MacOSXUpdCombo10.5.8.dmg
again.
