Version: 2008
Operating System: Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard)
Processor: Intel
Email Client: imap

All, I'm having problems for the last couple weeks where my Entourage crashes when i select an e-mail. It happens randomly so I don't have a specific instance of what is causing it. I've reinstalled office with all of the updates and my MacOS is fully up to date. I've even rebuilt the database.

Following is the error log I recieve:

You say it happens randomly. When it happens, does it crash again if you
return and re-select the same message? If so, you need to delete that
message.

How to delete it if you can't select it? Aha! Turn off any preview pane, so
there is just a message list. Then, you should be able to select the message
and delete it.

No, when Entourage re-starts I'm able to open, view, delete, etc. that message. It's truly random.

Can I get you to create a new User in System Preferences? Go to System
Preferences --> Create a New User in Accounts. Switch to the New User by
logging out/in or use Fast User Switching. Test Office there. Do you still
see the crashing?

There have been several Java updates recently and this could be the issue.
Testing in the new user will eliminate problems in your User's folder and
tell us if this is a system wide problem.

If the problem exists in the new User, you might need to download the combo
updater from Apple and run it again rather than using Software Update. Doing
so overwrites potentially problem-causing files. Combo updaters will install
on the same version as they¹re applying‹no need to roll back or do a clean
install.

Leopard:

Mac OS X 10.5.6 Combo Update (For both PowerPC- and Intel-based Macs )

Tiger:

Mac OS X 10.4.11 Combo Update (PPC)

Mac OS X 10.4.11 Combo Update (Intel)

Can you send me the full log off list? The forum doesn't allow for full logs
to be posted.
