Entourage 2008 keeps asking me to rebuild the DB, even minutes afterI've rebuilt the database

Very strange---the database utility suddenly launched today telling me
the db is damaged and should be rebuilt. After the usual lengthy
rebuild, everything was fine and I went on to use Entourage without
problems when about 10 minutes later, the database utility relaunched
and again told me to rebuild because the database might be damaged. I
dismissed it and continued to work in Entourage without any problems.

Any idea why it came on again very shortly after rebuilding and
verifying the entire database? Why would the db keep getting corrupted
in record time? I've been an Entourage user for many many years and
only rarely had to rebuild because of corruption.I'm using Entourage
12.1.1 (the latest version). Thanks!

Not sure if this will help in your situation, but it's too easy not to try.

Move your Microsoft User Data folder to the desktop and let Entourage create
a new one.
Drag back your Identity folder and Entourage scripts.

Let me know if this fixes the problem.

Try deleting this preference file in your User's --> Library Preferences:

com.microsoft.OfficeNotifications.plist

Other options to check:

Bad RAM.
Being low on disk space. To check your disk space, use the Activity Monitor.
Click on Disk Usage in the bottom menu bar and select the volume where you
have Office installed. You can also use Disk Utility to see detailed
information about a disk or volume. To learn more, open Disk Utility in the
/Applications/Utilities folder and refer to Disk Utility Help.

Isn't happening anymore, so perhaps it was some transitory disruption
in the Entourage karmic web or something like that. Thanks, though---
I'll refer to this if/when it happens again.
