Entourage 2008 login fails -17900 after Update Exchanger Server 2007Rollup 6

Hello,

we updated our Exchange Server 2007 SP1 with Rollup 6 last night.
Since then no more login with Entourage 2008 is possible
except with an account with admin privileges. Is it an IIS 7 problem?

Please help

Well considering rollup 6 just came out, few people have had the
possibility to test this :-\ (I haven't).

Are you using the regular vversion of ENtourage or the public beta of
the EWS version of Entourage??

thank you for your fast response.

We are using the regular version of Entourage 2008 (12.1.5).

This is really strange, because all users are able to log on to OWA
and are able to use their iPhones to sync with the Exchange Server
2007 Enterprise Edition SP1 DE (Rollup 6). But Entourage won't connect
unless you use an account with Domain Admin Privileges.

I can't supply all Entourage Users with Admin privileges.....

Well I wish I had a solution for you :-\

You wmight want to give the EWS version a try — at least on a test
account,

You sure can't!! And you shouldn't have to.
It looks like a bug to me and a nasty one.
iPhones are a different beast. They sync to Exchange through ActiveSync.
Entourage uses WebDAV. Entoruage EWS uses Web Services (the WS in EWS),
so it might be immune to this issue.

uninstall of Rollup 6 was successful. Now everything works .

This is really a shame.. 12 hours of Beta-Testing.....

You need to report this to MS... Not sure what the proper channel is for
that, but they need to be aware of it.

I'll see what I can do on my end.

Our Entourage users are all having problems getting their inboxed updated
since we applied Update Rollup 6. Has Microsoft come out with a fix for this
yet?

If they have, it wonat be posted here since this is only a peer-support
group.
I'll try to ping the people I know again to make sure they are really
aware of the issue,
