I'm having a problem opening .rtf file attachments receive via Entourage.

I receive the message: "Word cannot open this document. The document might be in use or might not be a valid Word document"

These same documents open fine on my neighbors PC when they are sent to her.

I've tried opening the file via Entourage Open Button as well as Word>Open>Select File>select RTF>open

No luck at all! I read an earlier post and found no solution in that post that would solve this problem. I'm pretty sure I'm not alone with this problem.

Thanks in advance for any help you may provide, especially if it works!

This usually means you have not retrieved the entire message before you
tried to open the attachment. This happens when you have selected "Partially
receive messages" in the Options tab of Account Setup for the account. I
leave that option unchecked for POP accounts.

If you have already downloaded the header for the message, but you have not
retrieved the entire message, you will see a link labeled "Retrieve entire
message" in the header above the message. Click on that link and THEN try to
open the attachment.
