Hi

I have a client who is using MS Entourage 2008 in-conjunction with a MS Exchange server and every time he starts up his laptop to the network it Entourage his calendar is clear and re-downloads all of his calendar events even though it had downloaded all of the events the previous day.

I know that under 2004 you were required to add your calendars or contact folders to favourites in order to keep a local cache and we have done the same under 2008 but it does not appear to be working.

Any ideas?

Is this happening to his own exchange calendar?
We have to add calendar and contacts to favorites if it's a public folder
calendar and contacts.
Is this user recently migrated from other server?

Hi Pawan

Thanks for the reply. Actually got this sorted now.

Under Entourage 2004 we used to simply right-click the relevant Calendar or Contacts file and add to favourites to cache it so that when the user quit and re-launched Entourage it would read from cache and synchronise anything new or any changes.

Under Entourage 2008 you still have the option to add to favourites, which incidentally adds it to Entourages bar at the top, but you also have to drag and drop the calendar or contacts file to Public Folders/Subscribed Public Folders/.

Success! :)
