Entourage 2008 - Outlook - Delegation andPermissions across SMTP domains

Version: 2008
Operating System: Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard)
Processor: Intel
Email Client: Exchange

Have a number of users across different SMTP domains on a single server. Permissions have been granted for the users to share mail boxes, calendars etc. Users can see cross smtp domain users in Outlook 2003 and 2007 but NOT in entourage 2008. They can see users in the same domain. Is this feature supported by Entourage.

I would believe so but I'm not in an environment to verify this.

Have you clicked the Advanced... button when trying to open another
user's folder and entered the E-mail address, which should be indicative
of the other SMTP domain? You can also specify the server for searching.

Hope this helps!

The server environment is an exchange replacement called Kerio Mailserver. We have delegated successfully in their webmail environment and with Mocrosoft Office. Entourage never finds any details even when the information is entered in advanced mode completely. Could be the kerio server or the entourage client at issue.

Sorry... To be clear.

Microsoft Outlook all versions work well on PC using a kerio plugin. Microsoft Entourage 2008 does not delegate or at least see the delegated user across smtp domains. Even if their details are entered in advanced mode. Entourage does not use a plugin however.

I am trying to figure out if
1. Entourage doesn't support the cross smtp domain delegation?
2. If Entourage supports the feature perhaps Kerio is not communicating correctly using exchange like protocols.

I'm not familiar with Kerio at all but if Outlook needs a plugin from
Kerio then the functionality is not in Outlook. Most likely that
functionality is not in Entourage since it is built to work with
Exchange (not Kerio).

I would suggest working with Kerio to see if they support Entourage in
the configuration you're using.
