Entourage address book updates wrong data

I notice that when I modify an Entourage address, it writes over data with
another record's data. For example: I go and update Record #1 and save it.
Then when I go to update record #2, I find that often the data from record #1
(such as address) has been written into record #2. How do I stop/prevent
this? I am already saving changes before I switch between address book
entries.
