entourage and comcast

Just hooked up with comcast (had earthlink before) and I can not get
entourage to work (send and recieve mail). I have installed the latest
updates and am running OS 10.2. any suggestions?

Thanks once again, still not working so I am using Mac mail right now.
I keep getting an error code of 1403 and i can't seem tofind that code
number.

We have some errors documented, but not this one.

I have Comcast and have no problems. I have not had to set the SSL mentioned
by another user.

Your POP: mail.comcast.net

Your SMTP: smtp.comcast.net

Try deleting the account and create new. Be careful when copying. It's easy
to copy over a space.

How to install and use tcpflow at the bottom of the page will monitor your
connection and can be used to help solve your problems. Good luck with
Comcast support. When I called with problems over unsubscribing my old
attbi.com address, they didn't even know what a talk list was. :)

Thanks for the info Diane. Tried it all ping worked fine but no in
entourage now I get n error code of -17199 can't find account for
sending message out.

I'll keep trying.

I just setup my Comcast account and it is working fine. My email name and my
account name are different. I do not have any advanced options set. I hope
somebody can solve your problem.

Thanks all. I still can't get it to work. For the time being I am using Mail.
