entourage and iphone

When I sync my iphone, the events that I created on the iphone do not appear in entourage. I read the section 'help and how to': Synchronize Entourage with an iPod or iPhone and it is for itunes 7.0- I currently have itunes 8- is there anyone have any suggestions as to how to get my events sync-ed into my Entourage?

First, make sure your copy of Office 2004 is up-to-date. Download and
install the latest Office 2004 updates, which are the Office 2004 11.5.0 and
11.5.1 updates

In Office 2004, use Microsoft AutoUpdate to get the latest updates. From
any Office application, go to Help > Check for Updates (or manually launch
Microsoft AutoUpdate from the Applications folder). If any updates are
needed, they will display in a sheet, at which point you can check them and
press the "Install" button to download and install them.

Then, when you've applied the updates, in Entourage, go to Entourage >
Preferences, and, under General Preferences > Sync Services, check the
option to "Synchonize events and tasks with iCal and .Mac.". You may then
be prompted to resove duplicates.

Then, in iTunes, look in the left sidebar for your iPhone (assuming it's
plugged in). Click it, and in the screen that appears, click the "Info"
tab. Make sure you are set to synchronize the Entourage calendar, and be
sure to "Put new evert created on this iPod into the calendar: Entourage".

Thank you for responding:
I had already downloaded the most current updates and the preferences in entourage set to synchronize events and tasks with iCal and .mac. In iTunes, however, there isn't an option to select "put new event created on this ipod into the calendar"- there is that option for the contacts section, but not the calendar section- I've tried deselecting and re-selecting the various calendars I have, and still, that option does not appear- (I've called other people over to my mac to look for it, to no avail!) I have the most recent version of iTunes (!?) why isn't the option there?! Thank you in advance for your help
