Entourage Cache files?

Version: 2008 Operating System: Mac OS X 10.4 (Tiger) Processor: Intel Email Client: imap Spotlight files are stored in
"...user/Library/Caches/Metadata/Microsoft/Entourage"

My question: What's the purpose of the files in
"...user/Library/Caches/Microsoft Entourage" ?

A number of these *.cache files seem to refer to emails that I've deleted.

I've searched and can't find this folder documented anywhere. Any problem with just deleting this folder daily?

Entourage will just replace it if you have Spotlight checked. It should
delete messages when they are deleted from the database.

My suggestion is to leave this folder alone. If you need to rebuild, select
Spotlight in Entourage Preferences and click on rebuild.
