Entourage Calendar invitations problem

I'm using Entourage 2004 for Mac. When I receive email calendar invitations
I accept them but the event doesn't appear on my calendar nor does the
message disappear from mail. Also, when I come back to the mail later it
claims I've never accepted or or declined them invitation. Any ideas?
