Entourage Cannot Access My Data

Version: Older version
Operating System: Mac OS X 10.2 (Jaguar)

Can't get into Entourage. When I click on application, window pops up that says, "Entourage cannot access your data. To attempt to fix the problem, rebuild your database." OK
I click on that and another window comes up: "To rebuild the database, quit all other Microsoft Office programs and try again." OK... Tried to rebuild database by holding down Option Key while clicking on Entourage, but wasn't able to Turn Off Office Notifications first as I'd been instructed. It looked like the database was rebuilding, but when I tried to open Entourage again afterwards, I got the same two windows again. How can I rebuild database? Thank you!
