I've been trying to get my Treo 650 integrated with Entourage, and have
been having a recurring problem that I can't seem to fix. For
reference, I'm using Entourage 2004, Microsoft Sync Conduit 1.2, on a
G4 Powerbook running OS 10.3.8 that has Palm Desktop 4.2.1 installed.
The big picture is that I have (4) Macs that i need to have in sync
with one another, so my long range goal is to use isync to get every
machine and my Treo on the same page (which I have done), and then to
transfer the data from the Treo into Entourage on one of the machines,
replacing the Entourage data with the data on the phone. FInally, I
plan to use E2Sync to keep all (4) copies of Entourage in sync with one
another via isync.
When I initiate a hotsync from my Treo 650 via bluetooth to dump the
data from the phone to Entourage, the sync starts fine, but then the
Enourage conduit fails after it properly syncs my address info. The
hotsync log displays the following:
OK Pocket Quicken 2.5
OK Media
OK Note Pad
Syncing Address Book
OK Syncing Address Book
Syncing Notes
A Database or Record could not be found synchronization failed
Entourage Conduit synchronization failed
"Entourage Conduit" failed (error = #16387)
I have rebuilt the entourage database, made sure that recurring events
have end dates, deleted the entourage plist files, and none of these
things have solved the problem. Any ideas?
