Entourage Crashed and all was lost

I have a new MacBook Pro, all updates installed and installed new MS
office 2004, had Entourage working with just one account for about 3
weeks and i opened it today and hit send/receive and it just shut down
and popped up message about an error and was prompted to send error
report to Apple and when i went back to entourage all my stuff was
gone. Account, mail, contacts everything. What happened and is there a
spot somewhere that my info is at? I assume it could not have deleted
everything,

Yes, it is just the same as I do. I think it is a terrible nightmare.
