I'm running Entourage 2004. Last night, as I was receiving email, I got a "corrupt" message and was directed to rebuild my account. The result is an empty, but working entourage account, but I can't get to the years of work and life emails I had access to until the crash. What can I do to save the lost data?

Big thanks to anyone who can shine a light and lead me out of entourage hell. NMC

When Entourage rebuilds your database, it creates a duplicate. You can open
the duplicate and salvage your data.

How to manually move your data. (when import fails and/or you need to move
to a new Identity same version or revert to an older version)

Diane, thank you. I was able to do the whole sequence and it looks like it's all back to normal.

Great news!!

Be sure you start a good backup strategy. $#@! happens as you have
discovered.

It's advised not to let Time Machine backup your Entourage database. If the
database is copied while being used, the backup could be corrupt. You can
set the Time Machine to exclude the Microsoft User Data folder and create an
iCal event to copy it over at night while not in use so you get one backup
daily in Time Machine.

Alternative method to use Entourage and Time Machine (does a once a day or
whatever time period you select)

Entourage and Time Machine (creates chronological backup of Identity can be
used by both Tiger and Leopard)
