Entourage does not open the contacts of our Active Directory

Hi, I've set up an LDAP Account to be able to search names in our Active Directory. Unfortunately Entourage is telling me:

"Entourage cannot connect to the server. Verify your computer is connected to the network."

My Mail-Inbox is working fine. Everything else as well. MY computer is not part of the Actice Directory. Can this be the issue? Any Logs I can read?

Maybe in your account settings, populate the LDAP server with the FQDN of your domain controller that is the GAL owner. You also may have to check mark the "server requires login" box as well and let the OSX KeyChain remember the password.

Just adding a little bit to this:

You want to use the address of a server known as a Global Catalog
server. This is a special type of domain controller in a Windows
network. You may need to contact your Exchange administrator for the
name of one in your network.

Typically, this does require that you enable the the option to log on
under the Advanced tab of the Exchange account's settings.

Hope this helps!
