Entourage doesn't ask to renew expired Kerberos ticket

Operating System: Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard)
Processor: Intel
Email Client: Exchange

Since Entourage 2008 was released, it has never noticed when the user's Kerberos ticket expires. I had hoped the recent service pack would fix this. If the ticket expires, Entourage just stops receiving new mail, but never prompts the user. Is there a work-around?
